Custom printed cups: frequently asked questions

Answers about ordering custom printed paper and plastic cups from Nordicup: minimum quantities, prices, artwork and print templates, production times and delivery across Europe. Product-specific questions are answered on each product page.

Ordering custom printed cups and prices

The price per cup depends on the cup type (single-wall or double-wall), size, print coverage, number of colours and quantity — from 1,000 pieces the unit price drops noticeably. Send the quote form with your specification and you receive an exact quotation, with delivery across Europe included, within one business day.

Yes — most customers order a size range with shared artwork. We adapt your design to the dieline of each size.

Yes. Cup printing has fixed setup costs, so the unit price falls as the quantity grows: 5,000 or 10,000 cups cost noticeably less per piece than 1,000. If you lack storage space, we can produce a larger run, store it free of charge and ship it in parts as you need it.

Paper cups (single-wall and double-wall) from 1,000 pieces per design. PET and rPET cups from one box of 800 pieces; reusable PP cups are quoted per order. Lids can be added to any cup order. Tell us your expected volumes and we propose the most economical setup.

Single-wall paper cups are the economical choice for everyday takeaway; double-wall cups add insulation and a premium feel for hot drinks. For iced drinks choose PET or rPET clear cups, and for events or deposit schemes reusable PP cups. Describe your drinks and volumes and we recommend the right cup.

Artwork, print templates and printing

Vector PDF, AI or EPS with outlined text is ideal; high-resolution PNG or JPG is accepted. We run a free file check, and before production you always receive a 3D visualisation of your cup for approval.

Yes. Send us your logo and brand colours and we take it from there: our in-house designers can create the whole cup design from scratch and prepare it for print, or simply correct and adapt the artwork you already have. Design work is included in the price — there is no extra charge.

On paper cups we match brand colours with Pantone spot inks on request, or reproduce them in CMYK as closely as the board surface and coating allow. You see the expected result on your proof and 3D visualisation before production, so there are no surprises.

Yes. Besides single-wall and double-wall paper cups we print on PET and rPET cold cups and reusable PP cups. Clear PET cups are printed on one side in up to 4 colours; reusable cups are printed with IML or screen print. Matching lids are available for every range.

Standard plastic cups

Yes — tell us your cup type and size and we send the dieline as a vector PDF at 1:1 scale, with the cut, bleed and safe print-zone lines marked. Ask for it in the quote form or by email.

Full-colour CMYK on paper cups — offset or flexo depending on run size — with Pantone spot colours on request; IML or screen print on reusable PP cups; direct UV print on clear cold cups.

Always. Production starts only after you approve the proof and the final specification.

Samples, production times and delivery

Yes — we are happy to send samples so you can check the material, lid fit and print quality in your hands. Please note that samples are cups from our existing production, printed with other clients’ or demonstration designs, not with your artwork; a cup with your own design is produced once your order is confirmed. Ask for samples in the quote form or by email.

Across all of Europe: Lithuania, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Portugal, the Netherlands, the Nordic and Baltic countries and beyond. Delivery to one address in Europe is free of charge and already included in your quotation.

Our paper cups are made from food-contact-certified board with a thin PE lining and can be recycled where paper-cup collection exists; a water-based barrier coating can be quoted on request. PET and rPET cold cups are recyclable, and rPET already contains recycled material. Tell us your sustainability requirements and we specify the right material.

Typically 2–3 weeks from written artwork approval, including delivery to your address. Quote, specification and artwork preparation happen before that. We confirm the exact delivery date once the order is placed, the design is approved and production time is reserved.

Standard terms are full prepayment by bank transfer against a proforma invoice — there is no online checkout. For long-term partners we offer more convenient arrangements, such as an advance before production with the balance paid on completion, or deferred payment. The exact terms are confirmed in your quotation.
